Security Incident Reporting
At Vela Industries Group, maintaining the security of our systems and data is a top priority. To ensure we respond quickly and effectively to any potential threats, it’s crucial that all team members are aware of how to report a security incident.
What is a Security Incident?
A security incident can include, but is not limited to:
-
Unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
-
Lost or stolen devices containing company data.
-
Unusual system behaviour (e.g., pop-ups, crashes, or unexplained file modifications).
-
Disclosure of sensitive information to unauthorised individuals.
-
Suspicious emails (e.g., phishing attempts or unexpected attachments).
How to Report an Incident?
If you encounter any incident of the above (except Suspicious emails) or suspect a potential security issue:
-
Report the issue immediately via one of the following methods:
-
Email: Send details to it@velaindustriesgroup.com.
-
Helpdesk Portal: Log the incident in IT Helpdesk Portal using the Security Incident category
-
Teams: Contact your Regional IT Manager or Security Lead
-
Include as much detail as possible:
- A brief description of the issue.
- The time and date you noticed it.
- Any relevant information, screenshots, emails, or files (if applicable).
Go to https://help.velaindustriesgroup.com/, click on Report an Issue and fill out the form.

Why Reporting is Important
Timely reporting helps us contain and mitigate potential risks before they escalate. Even if you’re unsure whether something is an incident, it’s better to report it — our team will assess and guide you from there. We rely on each of you to be our first line of defense against potential security threats.
Thank you for your diligence in keeping Vela Industries Group safe and secure.
Should you have any questions about this process, please don’t hesitate to contact the IT/Security team directly.
